Improvement...

September involved a lot more resting and excercising my muscles. Progress is slow but I have definitely seen many improvements. I am quietly hoping that I am passed the halfway point in my recovery! More soon... However, it was possible to visit the Midlands Air Ambulance Open Day. They were a fantastic service involved in my rescue after the bike crash...

Bike crash...

Whilst cycling on the Malvern Hills on the 3rd of August, I crashed my bike down a grassy slope and ended up with a fractured femur... So the rest of August was a very uneventful month with lots of resting and limited picture taking opportunities...

Last TdF stage in Paris...

Being a cycling fan I went to Paris last weekend with my family to watch the last stage of this year's Tour de France. We managed to see a few sights including Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur, the Eifel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. It was great to be there again (having seen two stages of the TdF in Paris and London in previous years) and the main event on Sunday afternoon was fantastic to witness again. Great atmosphere, brilliant weather, baguettes and coffee and many crazy cycling fans!

Fossil hunting along the River Severn

Despite the weather being overcast and even a heavy downpoor, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves hunting for fossils along the River Severn near Frampton...

Fun at summer camp

Ella's kindergarten summer camp which we attended on the 13th and 14th of June was a great success! The kids just loved playing and roaming and being up to all sorts... The evening was finished off with a campfire and beautiful floating candle lit hot air balloons before everyone crashed out in their tents...

WWT at Slimbridge

We saw some very beautiful birds at the WWT in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire. Here are some pictures... I was also very lucky to get a glimpse of the elusive Kingfisher, although sadly it was too quick to get a picture... Perhaps better luck next time!

Move to the country

After a busy month of March with moving and renovating, we are finally settled into our new place. Moving to the country is proving to be the right move so far. We are thoroughly enjoying seeing the spring weather change our surroundings!

Happy 2009

Wishing everyone a great and enjoyable 2009! After the festivities, social get togethers, and illnesses that followed, I am now back on track to carry on working... Life is a fantastic juggle between various working demands and family life. To top it up we are in the process of selling our house in the city and are looking to move to the country side. So, very exciting times indeed. And we always get a fantastic smile from our 4 year old to keep us going...
