Feeling very lucky to be able to access these local woods during this global health crisis lock-down for my walks. The landscape is varied with incredibly steep slopes, flat valley bottoms, beech woods, hazel coppicing stools, a stream, wild garlic, animal trails and plenty of wildlife... Definitely a daily highlight!

Forging a knife...
I thought to capture some of the stages involved in forging a knife from a steel vehicle spring to the finished items. I decided to use cherry wood for the handles... Enjoy!

Cotswold Way - Section 6
After the winter storm postponements, we finally managed to walk Section 6 of the Cotswold Way today: the route took us from Dowdeswell Reservoir to Leckhampton Hill (7.6 km). Amazing wood- and farm-land with far reaching views across Cheltenham and beyond. Even the sun tried to break through occasionally. The Devil's Chimney was an interesting feature on Leckhampton Hill.
