Land Rover SIII 'TTK', 12

The brakes on TTK needed a bit of servicing which I managed to fit in the day before we had unusually heavy snow fall here in Gloucestershire! The snow and subzero temperatures lasted for a week, so TTK came in very handy for getting to and from work and doing various tasks such as towing stranded vehicles and getting our Christmas tree. The weather of course allowed for plenty of photography opportunities too...

Land Rover SIII 'TTK', 11

After a year and a bit of using TTK on and off, here is an update on a few more tasks I managed to do: new starter motor fitted, various sections of the chassis and suspension were cleaned and painted, new break shoes fitted, a new fuel tank and I repaired the interior light, cleaned up the rear lights and fitted new light kits in the front. The next task is to get new door tops!

Gloucestershire Way - Section 2

We hiked Section 2 of the Gloucestershire Way in glorious autumnal colours today (from Bream to Drybrook, 16 km). 🌿 The route took us almost entirely through the Forest of Dean - full of oaks, sweet chestnut, beech, cherry, hazel and a range of other tree species. The last of the leaves were still holding on and the forest floor was littered with dor beetles.

Blaengors, Caridigian

We had the privilege of staying at The Stoep at Wildernest, Blaengors in the West Wales county of Ceridigian this weekend. The weather was rainy and windy but we managed a bit of coastal walking, a visit to the pub, catching up with friends and relaxing by the stove in the cosy interior of The Stoep! Looking forward to going back again soon...
