An afternoon on the water...

We had a great afternoon messing around on boats with a few colleagues followed by a picnic dinner and a few drinks. The weather was stunning and, despite a distinct lack of a breeze, we still managed to sail around for a while... It has inspired me to one day build my own boat too!

Log Tractor, 2 (Cherry)

During our summer holiday in northern Italy I spotted a storm fallen cherry tree and decided to make another toy Log Tractor. I added a few new features including mudguards and rubber tyres... I hadn't quite realised how recent the tree had come down as the wood split more than I anticipated during the drying process, but it certainly adds a lot of character!

Fantastic summer holiday in northern Italy! Situated in Monferrato (Piemonte Region) we had easy access to the cities of Torino and Milano, the local towns and villages as well as the Italian Alps and the stunning coastline of Liguria. Some of the highlights were driving through the Swiss Alpine passes at 2000+ meters above sea level on the way there and back; the Duomo di Milano; the Lavazza coffee museum in Turin; swimming in the Mediterranean Sea and of course: endless espressos, gelato and amazing Italian cuisine!
