Blaengors, Caridigian

We had the privilege of staying at The Stoep at Wildernest, Blaengors in the West Wales county of Ceridigian this weekend. The weather was rainy and windy but we managed a bit of coastal walking, a visit to the pub, catching up with friends and relaxing by the stove in the cosy interior of The Stoep! Looking forward to going back again soon...

Gloucestershire Way - Section 1

After the success of completing the Cotswold Way earlier this year, we decided to tackle another local long-distance trail: the 151 km long Gloucestershire Way. The route meanders from Chepstow in the south up to May Hill in the Forest of Dean. It then turns east through Gloucester and up to the Cotswold Hills, to finally turn back west to finish in Tewkesbury.
I've divided the trail into 12 sections and today we completed Section 1 (from Chepstow to Bream, 18.7 km)
🌿, leaving Chepstow Castle and crossing the River Wye, we walked through fields and forests. The section was slightly longer than anticipated but with stunning views over the River Severn and beautiful autumn colours it turned out to be a great day! Good to be on the trail again…
